My name is Ryan Alsop and This is my life:

As a child I was blessed to be raised in a Christian home and even to have a Grandfather who was a missionary. At church and home I was taught the Bible.

It says that All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God (Rom 3:23), and that there is no one righteous, not even one (Rom 3:10). The punishment for sin is death (Rom 6:23), and separation from God (Isaiah 59:2).

At the age of nine I started to realize that that included me. I had sinned. I had told lies, stolen small things, and even hated in my heart, which Jesus said is murder (Matt 5:21-26). I realized that the Bible said man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment (Heb 9:27). This meant that I would have been a liar, thief, and murder before God by only 3 sins that I had committed; I was destined to Hell to be separated from God for ever. After talking to many people about Christ I knew what I needed to do. I needed to confess my sins before my Lord, ask Him for forgiveness. When I was nine I surrendered my life to Christ and trusted in Him as my savior. God was no longer separated from me, He was there listening to my prayers and showing me how to grow in Him.

But life hasn’t always been easy; Satan seemed to focus his attention on me at times. But the Holy Spirit was there to give me strength. I am no longer a slave to sin and flesh. I now have the courage through Christ to forge forward through all that life tosses my way.
