My parents were Baptist and I attended a Baptist Sunday School class as a child and youth. But, I came to realize that I could not depend on my parents Christianity for my eternal salvation. I realized that I was directly responsible to God for my own salvation. I already believed the Bible was God’s inspired word, so I applied its truths to my own life. The Bible says, “For God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten Son (Jesus Christ) that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” (John 3: 16). I believe that Jesus loved me so much that He gave His own life to pay for my sin. Under the conviction of the Holy Spirit I repented of my sin to God the Father and by faith invited Jesus Christ into my heart and life. Complete peace came into my heart and I have known the joy of fellowship with my Heavenly Father since that day. He is my joy in times of sadness, my strength in times of weakness, my comfort when sorrow comes, and my constant friend and companion each and every day of my life. I can not and do not want to live without Christ in my heart and life.

My prayer is that you too, will experience this cleansing and peace that only comes as you repent of your sins to God the Father and invite Jesus Christ, by faith, into your heart and life.
